Hi there,

Have you ever considered what giving voice-overs away for free and publicly doing so could do to the voice industry?

As a representative from a company that is striving to provide voice actors with a means to make a living from recording voice-overs, your website and service offering is destructive to the voice industry.

I realize that you are building a portfolio and are using the Free VO image to propagate buzz, but what you are doing is detrimental to both the industry and to your worth as a voice talent.

Will you stop offering your services for free and start charging clients for your services?

Looking forward to your reply,

Stephanie Ciccarelli

This is an interesting comment left by Stephanie Ciccarelli.

People do things for free all the time and the progress of that free offering is usually a boost to the industries status and global exposure.

If anything is detramental to the industry it's the fact that companies like yours try to charge the voiced over artise, close to $2000 for "training" to start to get jobs.

I think something is quite wrong with that kind of approach. This kind of practice may, more then likely, be why people such as free-vo feel the need to distrubute their talents for free. And good on them too.

also I feel this kind of offering allows people who don't wish to pay rediculous prices for talent that could pay thier way in to the industry to aquire unique talent at affordable prices (just cause it say free dosn't mean that everyone is taking advantage of the talent).
